Suppressed Renewal Errors

Problem

When a domain renewal fails, you see the following error in the Activity Log at Configuration () > System Logs:

Suppressed Automatic Domain Renewal on Payment Due to Domain Being Free and having No Active Associated Product

Cause

In many cases, this error occurs because you enabled Auto Renew Requires Product in the Domains tab at Configuration () > System Settings > General Settings.

If you have enabled this setting, WHMCS will not renew domains if the renewal price is 0.00 and there is not an associated active service.

Solution

To resolve this issue and renew the domain:

  1. Go to the client’s profile’s Domains tab and find the domain.
  2. Click Renew in the Module Commands section.
